Expanding Learning Opportunities Through Community Partnerships

North St. Paul Public Library
Every week, each classroom walks to the library to check out books for independent reading. Our teachers and librarians collaborate on additional activities throughout the school year.

Hill Murray High School
Every semester, 15 juniors and seniors from Hill Murray High School tutor students in reading and math on our campus. Three times a week they come to our school. Twice a year, a group of six to eight students come to our school to do a service project. Twice a year, Hill Murray students assist with our food drive to supplement food for our emergency food shelf. Hill Murray also invites our students to their theater performances.

North St. Paul Food Shelf and North Presbyterian Church
North St. Paul Food Shelf and North Presbyterian Church has donated funds to the Every Meal Project, a program that provides 50 meals each week for families. These meals are sent home in students’ backpacks. They have also helped us create an emergency food shelf for our families.

North St. Paul Fire Department and Police Department
We have an ongoing partnership with both departments to provide education and support to our students and families.

Polar Ridge Senior Living Apartments
Our classrooms have partnered with the residents of Polar Ridge, a senior living complex located near the school. Our students love reading to and talking with local seniors.

Local North St. Paul, Maplewood and Oakdale Businesses
Numerous businesses throughout our community graciously provide donations to our annual carnival.
